A large global mining company deployed an enterprise-wide estimating software platform to their regions around the world and learned a year later that they did not have any active users in the tool, and everyone was still working in Excel. Due to the investment and the desire to properly track and benchmark data, the company desired to remediate the problem.
In cooperation with a global working team, C-Shift Consultants worked to understand the obstacles to using the software in each business unit. Software requirements were revisited and realigned to make the software fit-for-purpose. Then, in collaboration with the software provider, the system was redesigned and redeployed to each business unit using customized training programs to suit the specific needs of each user group. A strong measurement and sustainment plan was implemented, along with follow-uptraining and leadership support to ensure user adoption.
